Modern Wedding & Event Calligraphy
There’s a little bit of magic in calligraphy if you ask me. It’s an incredibly expressive way to turn words into art, and it’s something that I’m very proud to be able to offer you for your wedding or event. Whether beautifully addressed envelopes, gorgeously scripted place settings, or individual love note favours for your guests to tuck away as treasured keepsakes, my signature modern calligraphy style will elevate your paper goods, and add elegance to your wedding stationery.
Much like letterpress – my other love – part of the joy of calligraphy is in the process of creating it. It’s a wonderfully mindful, relaxing art form that extends beyond the world of weddings. I love nothing more than creating beautiful hand lettering for business branding or other event stationery, and spreading the love through fun beginners calligraphy workshops and ‘do it yourself’ calligraphy kits.
Everything is created in my little West London studio and then posted, though I do also travel for live events such as in-store ‘while you wait’ calligraphy on a range of lovely products. MODERN CALLIGRAPHY AT YOUR WEDDING
Do you want your wedding to be accentuated with a calligraphed flourish? There are a huge number of ways we can work together to make your text feel personal and beautiful at the same time.
I love to include hand-lettered elements on the stationery that’s sent out in advance of your celebration, and can mix inks to create your artwork in a huge range of colours. Lovingly scripted touches are also a thoughtful way to elevate your guests’ experience on the day, and we can discuss a whole host of options to involve monogrammed or individually named stationery items to your tablescapes – from place settings and escort cards, to menus and favours.
Learn Modern Calligraphy
Modern calligraphy is a key part of what I do at Ink & Paper, and personally I take a great deal of pleasure from its calming, meditative properties.
I love sharing these skills in workshops with other people, be it couples looking to add their own personal touch to their wedding stationery, or people wanting to take a little time out from the bustle of everyday life.
I also offer at home calligraphy kits, which make a wonderfully original gift, and are also perfect as a treat for yourself if you’re looking to learn a new skill in your own time.

Calligraphy Workshops
These small group classes take place at my Ealing studio, and are aimed at complete beginners. It’s a fun and relaxed atmosphere, complete with Prosecco and snacks, where you’ll discover the basics of letter formation and start to develop your own individual calligraphy style.
Calligraphy Kits
Each kit features a short video guide introducing you to the basics of modern calligraphy, together with the calligraphy tools you need so you can get started right away.
There are two kits to choose from, ranging from the basic starter kit containing everything you need to get started, to the luxury package which includes some of my favourite accessories: Keiyosa ink stands and drying racks, elegant white and gorgeous gold Finetec inks.
